A chronicle of my family's journey to a simpler, natural, more meaningful life with a little bit of fun and silliness mixed in.
Thrifty Fun for Kids
Math is not my thing. My husband and daughter love it. Me, I love my calculator! This math I can do though. This is a super simple, pre-math skill activity that is great for 2s and 3s...sorting! I took colored construction paper, wrote color words on them and let the fun begin. You can choose almost anything to sort. Once the children have color sorted everything the sky is the limit. You can count the number of items on each color, add colors together, discuss same and different (cars vs. blocks), more or less, even make graphs...and we cant forget literacy! These simple homemade games are my favorite.
